Coxhoe Parish Council hereby announces three vacancies for co-option: - One vacancy representing Coxhoe - Two vacancies representing Quarrington Hill

Role of a Parish Councillor
Parish Councillors serve as elected representatives of the local community. Their responsibilities include:

  • Representing the interests and concerns of parish residents

  • Participating in the decision-making process on local services, community initiatives, and planning matters

  • Collaborating with fellow councillors and council officers to promote the wellbeing and development of the parish

  • Attending regular Council meetings and engaging with parishioners

This is an excellent opportunity for residents to contribute positively to their community. No previous experience is required, only a commitment to the role.

Application Process
Applicants are encouraged to review the Council’s Co-option Policy, which can be downloaded here. Completed application forms must be submitted to Sophie Taylor, Parish Clerk, by 22nd August 2025. Applications received by this deadline will be considered at the next Ordinary Meeting of the Council, scheduled for Wednesday 3rd September 2025.
