Coxhoe Parish Council are proud to deliver a 0% Parish Council Tax rise in 2026/27.

Published: 2 March 2026

Coxhoe Parish Council has approved another ambitious year of community projects, delivering real, visible improvements across the villages while keeping parish council tax frozen. This approach reflects the Council’s ongoing commitment to value for money, strong governance, and community benefit.
It is recommended by the National Association of Local Councils (NALC) and the Local Government Association (LGA) that Town and Parish Councils maintain a reserves fund of 3 to 12 months expenditure. Coxhoe Parish Council are targeting 50% of annual spend in reserves by 2028 but, by careful budget management, have pledged £24,000 of additional spending from current reserves to meet the priorities of people in Quarrington Hill and Coxhoe, without impacting resident council tax in 2026/27.

Quarrington Hill Budget Allocation

We always try to spend your Council Tax proportionately across our villages, with the Quarrington Hill electorate generating 16.2% of the annual budget. In 2025/26, Coxhoe Parish Council allocated 19% (£31,682) of the total annual budget to services for Quarrington Hill, with an additional £15,839.29 from grant funding for Kingswood Nature Reserve, Neighbourhood Planning and new flagpoles and paths. We have also committed an additional £4,000 to improvements to Quarrington Hill Churchyard.

Coxhoe Budget Allocation

Coxhoe electorate generates 83.8% of the annual budget and this year we also spent from reserves to deliver the St Mary’s Churchyard project, as well as procuring £17,000 in grant funding to deliver the CCTV system and our SEN Youth Provision. Over the next financial year, we have committed to delivering on more community requested projects such as drainage solutions in problematic areas, and additional parking, as well as community heritage projects with local groups.
