Parish Council Formally Objects to Development on Grange Farm

The Parish Council attended a Planning Committee Meeting on Tuesday 12th November, and formally objected to the proposed Grange Farm development in Coxhoe.

Published: 13 November 2024

The Parish Council attended a Planning Committee Meeting on Tuesday 12th November, and formally objected to the proposed Grange Farm development in Coxhoe, on the basis that Durham County Council reconsidered their policy for contribution to Primary School places, and no longer expect the contribution of £441,090 they had originally requested from Gleeson Homes.
Despite appeals from County Councillors Anderson and Blakey, The Chair of Coxhoe Parish Council, and the Headteacher of Coxhoe Primary School, Durham County Council are maintaining their stance and will not demand a Primary Education Contribution from the developer.
