Coxhoe Parklife

Are you a Friend of Coxhoe Park? Do you or your children use Coxhoe Park. If the answer is yes, do you know that:

• The park is now 15 years old
• Equipment needs repairing and it will cost over £70,000
• Durham County Council may not have the money to do all the repairs
• If it is not repaired and becomes unsafe it will be removed

Does that concern you? If so its time to get involved! It’s time to give Coxhoe Park a new lease of life. New ideas? New activities? Working together we can do it! There’s no age limit!

The Solution

Under the project name ‘Coxhoe Parklife’ we would like to get people interested in becoming ‘Friends of Coxhoe Park’ to help look after the park and work with the relevant agencies to provide a sustainable future for it. The Community have done it with the Leisure Centre. The community have started to do it with The Village Hall. Now we want your help to do it with Coxhoe Park.

What can I do?

We are looking for volunteers in the first instance. Then we can start to arrange meetings and make things happen. If you are interested in being part of Coxhoe Parklife. Register your interest on the Coxhoe Parklife Survey and Registration website.
